So last week was kind of a slow week for me. No concerts or air guitar or comedy show. Just a lazy week. But Saturday my friend Scott and I did see Skyscraper. And as established before, I do love everything and I loved this. It was a blast. A kind of Fast and Furious Die Hard. It felt like a love song to action movies of the 80s and 90s and since I grew up watching Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme movies I was totally on board.
If that's something you can get behind then I totally recommend it. Perfect summer popcorn movie.
Sadly it would seem that many people can't get behind it.
This meme hit last winter after the trailer came out and everyone had the scientific data that "he would never make that jump."
Here's my question... Who cares? Does it matter? What if the movie was just a blast to watch (which it was)? I don't need or want everything to be 100% realistic. I live in the real world enough and I can honestly say there are plenty of times I think to myself God that's enough of that! I want to see a one man army battle terrorists. Or an archaeologist fighting Nazis while looking for religious artifacts.
I just don't understand this logic. Why decide to pick apart movies before you've even had a chance to watch them? Of course you don't have to like every movie. I don't like every movie. But to decide a movie is bad just based off a picture is just moronic.
Sorry just needed to rant a little.
But it is a good time to share this meme I made.
